When my car was rear-ended by a distracted driver, my first stop was McShane's. In short order, John McShane equipped me with a repair estimate. Three things impressed me about McShane's: (1) John never asked whether the repair would be self-pay or insurance-pay (in stark contrast to other nearby repair shops); (2) the insurance adjuster knew John's work, as well as his reputation for honesty and accuracy. Much to my surprise, the adjuster approved payment for John's estimate and even offered to approve a further payment if John found additional damage after disassembling the car; and (3) the work was impeccable. The repairs were completely "invisible" and the repainted parts looked original. I could not have asked for a superior car repair experience.
